Meet Kayla Farner
LPC, LMFT, LPCC
Hi, I’m Kayla Farner, a licensed psychotherapist and mental health counselor in the states of Wisconsin and California dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families find healing and resilience. I believe therapy should be a collaborative journey, where we work together to navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you.
With years of experience supporting teens, young adults, and families, I specialize in providing a warm, non-judgmental space for my clients. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma, or relationship struggles, my goal is to help you develop the tools and confidence to move forward with clarity and strength.

My approach
I take a holistic and evidence-based approach to therapy, where you are a person first and foremost. As we figure out your therapeutic goals and a path to meet them, we will incorporate techniques and practices that best support your unique needs. You don’t have to go through this alone. Let’s take the first step together.
- Compassionate, client-centered care for individuals, couples, and families.
- Creating a safe, judgment-free space to explore, heal, and grow.
- Helping you rise again—stronger and more resilient.
My vision
Empowering people to rise from the brokenness in their lives to new levels of wholeness and thriving, supporting them as a life raft when all they can do is survive, and offering loving presence everywhere in between.
A message from Kayla
Life is hard… there’s no way around it. I imagine part of what led you to this page is that you have experienced some sort of difficulty, pain, discouragement, loss, stress, or confusion, and you want something in your life to look different than it does. Welcome, you are in a great place for that! Also, I’m proud of you for even starting this search. Therapy is a space to connect with a supportive person in those hard parts of life – both a raft when you are barely hanging on and committed support to help you rise again to where you want to be. I would be honored to hold hope for your healing and growth as we work together.
As a therapist, I lead with empathy. I operate from a person-centered approach and see you as a human first, with valid pain and a story worth being heard. We may incorporate specific approaches based on your goals, possibly utilizing my Level I and II specialized training in Restoration Therapy or my Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing training.
It would be my privilege to sit with you, learn from you, empower you to walk through whatever difficulties you are facing, and help you become a healthier version of yourself. You don’t have to struggle on your own. Please reach out with a call or email to see if I may be a good fit for you; I look forward to connecting!

Why are you called Rise Again Family Therapy?
The name reflects the healing journey of choosing therapy or counseling. While the ultimate goal is to rise stronger from the challenges you’ve faced, we aim to support you wherever you are in the process—whether you’re just beginning to rise again or need a life raft to hold on to. (RAFT is an abbreviated reference to that life raft we offer.)
Additionally, regardless of whether you’re seeking therapy as an individual or as a family, we recognize that families play a significant role in shaping who we are, and they’ll be an important part of the healing process.
